POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION: `

Parts Specialist with strong computer knowledge. Position will require 50% time in the office and 50% time on the work floor. Flexible start time of 7am-3pm or 8am-4pm. As a trained and experienced Maintenance Technician, serve as a core component of the Maintenance Department. Contribute to the success of the business operation. Lead safety efforts and assist in achieving the goal of zero recordable accidents. Work successfully without supervision and in a team environment. Maintain the electrical and mechanical systems. Perform additional duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Frequent standing and walking.
  • Occasional sitting, below waist level work, balancing, carrying, reaching over 15" away from the body, reaching above shoulder, use of forceful motion, fine motor skills, and lifting up to 35 lbs.
  • Minimal foot use, climbing, push/pull and lifting over 100 lbs.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation,as provided in detail in the Job Analysis Database.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • One plus year related industry experience.
  • Strong Attention to detail, clean and organized.
  • Heavy computer usage and knowledge of Office Suite.
  • Ability to repair and maintain piping systems.
  • Knowledge of rigging, welding, cutting, and burning.
  • Ability to visually inspect and identify problems with complex mechanical and electrical components.
  • Basic electrical systems and component knowledge.
  • Ability to rebuild equipment with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly and construction drawings.
  • Demonstrated good housekeeping practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Good reading and math skills.
  • Basic communication skills.
  • Ability to follow and give instructions.
  • Good problem solving skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with the use of Oracle EAM.
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge.
  • Basic instrumentation, electricity, and electronics as well as PLC process knowledge.
  • Familiar with lubrication theory and practices.
  • Electrical systems and electrical distribution experience.
  • Certification in mechanical or electrical specialties.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Responsible for adhering to all safety requirements.
  • Keeping parts room organized and fully stocked.
  • Ordering parts and keeping them organized.
  • Blueprint reading, basic rigging.
  • Remove, dissemble, refurbish, reassemble, replace, and align machinery.
  • Performance of preventive maintenance (PM's).
  • Responsible for basic hydraulics and pneumatics; troubleshooting and schematic interpretation.
  • Perform low, medium, and high voltage system maintenance and repairs.
  • Work as a team to support internal customer requests.
  • Perform miscellaneous plant duties as instructed by the supervisor.
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules.
  • Follow Environmental, Quality and Safety Management System procedures.
  • Ability to meet the essential job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation, as outlined in the job description.

This position's main responsibilities will be to maintain the stocked repair items as well as the daily consumables for the Maintenance dept. It will involve direct contact with suppliers and vendors on a frequent basis. Responsibilities will include the processing of the min / max system, Parts research, and purchase requisitions. This position will also work closely with the Maintenance planner to obtain materials for all projects and preventative maintenance.
